Zachau Construction is hiring an experienced, detailed oriented construction expert to join our team.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Construction Superintendent. The Construction Superintendent will oversee daily onsite operations of construction projects, ensuring progress aligns with timelines, budget, and scope. Key responsibilities include supervising construction site activities, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety protocols, and managing site logistics. The Superintendent will work closely with the project management team to address challenges, maintain quality standards, and drive project completion efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability in Construction Site Management and Construction Safety compliance
  • Strong Organization Skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks
  • Experience in handling Budgeting and monitoring financial aspects of projects
  • Proficiency in Construction Management and scheduling to meet deadlines
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentation
  • Familiarity with construction software tools is a must
  • Proficient with scheduling software
  • Participate in pre-construction process as required - (Review of schedule, logistics, scope, budget, permitting, etc.)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Ability to understand local, state and federal code requirements and ensure compliance with the same
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role; Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred

Physical Demands:

Extended workdays may be required to accomplish tasks and meet workload demands during peak periods. At times, the position can be physically demanding and requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders and lifting up to 65 pounds.
