Summary

The Motherboard Repair Tech L1 is responsible for troubleshooting MB at component level. The assignment will be ranging from doing diagnostics, isolating MB issue, replacing components, soldering and fixing MB.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties not listed may be assigned.

• Identify MB problem and narrow down issue
• Check for CID and make sure the MB is repairable before repair is performed
• Troubleshoot MBs and repair
• Follow repair instructions and operational procedures
• Perform solder work on component level as needed
• Check for excessive flux residue and solder and clean using alcohol and cloth
• Check for cold and short solder pads
• Check for Solder Bridge
• Meet and exceed KPI defined to meet the business and operational requirement
• Check and keep record for ESD Audit daily
• Be able to meet KPI 30/day
• Able to read diagrams
• Know how to test and troubleshoot electrical components

Qualifications

Education or Experience or Demonstrated Skill Set

• High school graduate or equivalent. Prefer college degree in related electronics field
• Prefer over 6 Months experience in computer repair or related field
• Must have Excel knowledge and experience to read instructions and track data
• Demonstrated skill set while working with Temp Agency

• Must be able to read schematic, multi-meter and oscilloscope
• Need good analytical and troubleshooting skill

• Requires demonstrated ability to read, and follow written instructions and ideas

Working Conditions

Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
