Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Gutter Cleaning Technician to support sanitation operations at our agricultural processing facility in Waco, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience cleaning, sanitizing, and inspecting gutters and related processing equipment while following strict food-safety and sanitation guidelines. This role is essential in ensuring our equipment and production environment remain clean, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, sanitize, and inspect gutters, tanks, channels, and related processing equipment according to established sanitation protocols.
  • Remove debris, buildup, and organic material from gutter systems using specialized tools and cleaning agents.
  • Perform routine and deep-cleaning tasks to maintain equipment used in food production environments.
  • Follow all food-safety, GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards to prevent contamination.
  • Conduct pre- and post-sanitation inspections, documenting cleanliness and reporting any equipment issues.
  • Safely handle chemicals, high-pressure washers, and sanitation equipment.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure equipment is cleaned and returned to service on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate cleaning logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Adhere to company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1 2 years of experience in sanitation, equipment cleaning, or gutter cleaning within a food-production or agricultural facility.
  • Strong knowledge of food-safety practices, sanitation protocols, and equipment hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in wet, humid, and fast-paced environments.
  • Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms when needed.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in greenhouse, hydroponic, or agricultural processing operations.
  • Familiarity with high-pressure cleaning systems and industrial sanitation chemicals.
  • Prior work in a facility regulated by FDA, USDA, or similar agencies.
