Host 

We are seeking a friendly, energetic Host to join our elevated Mexican restaurant team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects our restaurant's vibrant culture and commitment to exceptional hospitality.Key Responsibilities

Guest Relations & Seating

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival with a genuine smile and friendly demeanor
• Manage reservation system and walk-in seating efficiently
• Estimate wait times accurately and communicate them clearly to guests
• Seat guests promptly while considering table turnover and server sections
• Maintain organized waiting list during busy periods

Communication & Coordination

• Answer phone calls professionally, take reservations, and provide restaurant information
• Coordinate with servers, bussers, and management to ensure smooth service flow
• Communicate special requests, dietary restrictions, or celebrations to appropriate staff
• Assist with to-go orders and curbside pickup coordination

Restaurant Maintenance

• Keep host station, entrance, and waiting areas clean and organized
• Monitor dining room capacity and table availability
• Ensure menus are clean, current, and properly stocked
• Maintain knowledge of daily specials, promotions, and menu items

Family-Friendly Service

• Provide high chairs, booster seats, and children's menus when needed
• Offer crayons and kids menus for children under the age of 12 
• Be patient and accommodating with families and large groups
• Handle special occasions like birthdays with enthusiasm

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Professional appearance and positive attitude

Preferred

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience
• Basic knowledge of Mexican cuisine and culture
• Experience working with families and children

Skills & Abilities

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent memory for names, faces, and preferences
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods
• Professional phone etiquette
• Problem-solving skills and adaptability
• Team player with collaborative attitude

Work Environment & Schedule

• Fast-paced, family-friendly restaurant environment
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
• Part-time and full-time positions available
• Shifts typically range from 4-8 hours
