**Job Title: Traveling Electrician (Commercial Construction)** **Location:** Based in Lynchburg, VA - Travel Required **Pay:** Up to $30/hour (based on experience) **Per Diem:** $100/day **Overview:** **We're hiring a skilled Electrician** to join our growing team for **travel-based commercial construction projects** . The first assignment is at the **UVA Hotel & Conference Center in Charlottesville, VA** , with potential follow-up work at **Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA** . This is a great opportunity for electricians who enjoy working on the road while having a consistent home base in Lynchburg. **Schedule:** + Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (hours may vary) + Travel required to job sites across Virginia + $100/day per diem provided for travel days **Key Responsibilities:** + Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial environments + Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings + Bend and install conduit of various sizes + Ensure compliance with NEC and local codes + Test circuits and troubleshoot electrical issues + Mentor apprentices and collaborate with other trades + Maintain a safe and organized work environment **Qualifications:** + 2-4 years of commercial electrical experience + Strong understanding of NEC standards + Skilled in using hand/power tools and testing equipment + Experience with three-phase power systems + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must **Why Join Us?** + Work for a **large company with a small-team feel** + **Career advancement opportunities and internal promotions** + **Benefits include ESOP, 401(k), HSA, and health/dental/vision insurance** + **Paid apprenticeship programs and continuing education available** + **Be part of a company that invests in your long-term success** **Work Environment:** **This is a traveling role** with work at various job sites. You'll be exposed to changing weather conditions and must be adaptable to different environments. A positive attitude, professionalism, and teamwork are essential. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
